Canadian operator GAP Adventures’ newest ship, the 120 passenger Expedition, will open the 2009 cruise season for the south coast UK port of Portsmouth, when she calls on 1 May. The vessel will be on a 13-day ‘Britain & Ireland in Bloom’ cruise.
Expedition, bought to replace the ill-fated Explorer, which sank in Antarctica at the end of 2007, is currently being converted from a Baltic ferry in Finland for her new role.
