The 800-foot tanker Yasa Golden Dardanelles, was finally refloated at 12:08 AM Tuesday (2/24). More than 80,000 barrels of oil had to be transferred from the ship, which ran aground Friday (2/20), in order to get it unstuck. Commercial divers were to inspect the hull prior to the ship entering the Port of Galveston. According to the U.S. Coast Guard, "Naval engineers and inspectors from the ship's classification society will also examine the Yasa Golden Dardanelles."
