The maiden voyage of Celebrity Cruises’ latest vessel, Celebrity Equinox, is being brought forward due to early completion by German shipyard Meyer Werft. Celebrity Equinox will now sail from the UK’s leading cruise port Southampton on 31 July instead of 8 August. Her maiden voyage is now an eight-night Norwegian Fjords cruise, with calls at Stavanger, Flam, Geiranger and Oslo.
The Norwegian Fjords cruise is the first and only time this year that Celebrity Equinox will be showcased in Northern Europe, prior to a dedicated Solstice-class vessel sailing out of Southampton for the summer 2010 season.
Following her maiden voyage, celebrity Equinox will sail from Southampton on her original maiden voyage; a 10-night cruise to Civitavecchia, calling at le Havre, Cherbourg, Vigo, Lisbon, Gibraltar, Barcelona and Cartagena,
