Nigerian gunmen arriving in speedboats attacked a riverside compound housing Exxon Mobil staff last night in the southern Nigerian city of Eket. The Nigerian military fought off the attackers, and it's being reported that none of Exxon's employees were injured. The unidentified gunmen are likely militants, possibly from MEND, however no one has yet claimed responsibility.
