The government of Cyprus has confiscated a ship's cargo of weapons-related material that it says is in violation of UN-sanctions against Iran. The Monchegorsk was detained on January 29 off the coast of the island nation and on Friday (2/13) authorities offloaded the banned cargo. It is suspected that the cargo was on its way to Hezbollah in Lebanon or Hamas in Gaza.
