The U.S. Justice Department last Friday (6/5) announced that the Korean corporation STX Pan Ocean Co. Ltd. has been ordered to pay $2.2 million in penalties and serve four years of probation for conspiring to falsify and falsifying environmental compliance records in connection to violations committed by the crew of the commercial cargo ship M/V Ocean Jade.
