Rotterdam set for Signature enhancements

Following the successful 34 day Signature enhancement refit of Holland America Line’s Veendam at Freeport’s Grand Bahama Shipyard, handled totally by the shipyard, HAL’s Rotterdam is the next vessel for the same treatment in Freeport this December.

Work on Rotterdam will involve the fitting of the new casual Canaletto restaurant, new Lanai cabins, a pool area The Retreat and other new features. The same work will be undertaken on Maasdam, Statendam and Ryndam in two phases; during drydockings in 2010 and 2011 and dockings during 2012 and 2013. In the first phase of work on this trio of HAL vessels all three will receive cabin upgrades, plus the additions of Mix, Showroom at Sea, Canaletto and other public area enhancements. Phase 2 of the refit will see the addition of The Retreat and new cabins in the after end of the ships, as well as forward veranda and spa cabins. Sphere: Related Content
